As a hidden gem, you get the privacy that is needed for an important meeting but also a sense of fun by adding creative touches and funky wallpaper; you really can get the best of both worlds. Do you remember as a child wanting to draw all over the walls? Well your childhood dream can come true. Highfield Park’s new creation is their ‘think tank’ room where you write on the walls just like a whiteboard; so no more pen and paper, get your whiteboard pen and go mad. This is a brilliant space to begin your day, allow your delegates to be creative and invent some fantastic new ideas.

Highfield also believe that décor is a great way to help inspire their guests. As mentioned, no room is the same, and that is because of the cool feature wall. Every room has a different style of wallpaper, that is bold, colourful and adds character and sole. To impress your delegates, ask for the Wellington Room – the wallpaper is hand painted. Their aim is to create space to inspire.

Service is high on the agenda at Highfield Park – they are flexible and wherever possible there are no restrictions and no rules. With the GM being there for over 13 years and numerous members of staff being there for 5 + years, remembering and understanding what is important to your event is something they take pride in. The team are confident that they provide their guests with great customer service not only during their event but before and after.

Honesty is key. You can guarantee that the staff will always be truthful with you; they acknowledge that some of their bedrooms are a bit on the small side, but they will never tell you different. Because of this they always confirm with you when booking about who would benefit from a bigger bedroom, whether that’s your boss, or your colleague who is that little bit taller.

Highfield Park are always looking for new ways to improve their meeting rooms and hotel facilities. A refurbishment programme is underway for another meeting room and the bedrooms, including bedrooms in the main house and Fir Tree Court, which is only a short walk from the house, so look out for news and updates.

Most of us believe that food is a big factor when looking to book a meeting or an event, and Highfield are very aware of that. The owner at Highfield Park has their own organic farm which is located next to the hotel, where they rear their own pigs, sheep, chickens and grow their own organic vegetables. They believe that no menu is set in stone, and they are always looking to change their menu depending on trends or customers wants.

Cool fact: They grow their own edible flowers.

Although the main restaurant is in the Chamberlain, where the buffet style breakfast and lunch are served, there are several places where you could dine with your delegates. If you are in the Stratfield room, your double doors open onto a private terrace where you can request a BBQ style lunch/dinner or even a hog roast. There is also a public terrace that all guests are welcome to dine on.
Throughout your stay there is free flowing tea and coffee, so help yourself whenever you fancy, it will not be taken away.

Every year, there is new technology that makes everyone’s lives that bit easier. At Highfield Park they are very much aware of this, so ensure that with each refurbishment, they are adding them in. Their newest room, the Rotherwick Suite is really something which will impress the technology lovers. Everything is new in this room, even the roof! The state of the art projectors are wireless, allowing anyone with an Apple device to connect to it via airplay and screen-mirroring. Have a windows or android based device? Not a problem – there are subtle tech points which you can easily connect with. With acoustic ceiling and surround sound, the whole of the room is completely sound proof, so there is no need to worry about confidential information. Everything about the Rotherwick Suite is very impressive, there are 10 different mood lighting options and striking chandeliers, that with one click can be removed. You will always have great connection to the internet, as this room has its own 1GB of WIFI – it just gets better doesn’t it? The room can also be easily made into 2 rooms, so you can use the larger space for your meeting and the smaller space for your lunch or to display your products.
